Reach farmers, primary producers and rural businesses

small and large acreage customers

Your customers might be hundreds of kilometres apart, but that doesn’t mean your marketing has to be broad or wasteful.

Digital gives rural businesses the ability to reach highly specific audiences across regions, industries and areas of interest – whether you’re targeting cattle producers in western Queensland, broadacre farmers in New South Wales, or families living on large acreage.

We combine smart audience and geographic targeting with the right mix of search, social and media to put your business in front of the people who matter.

build trust with rural australians

Rural buying decisions aren’t always made overnight – particularly when there’s significant money, infrastructure or risk involved.

Your marketing needs to do more than generate a click. It needs to demonstrate expertise, build familiarity and give potential customers confidence that you understand their world.

We use content, creative, digital media and remarketing to keep your business visible throughout the decision-making process and make sure you’re front of mind when it’s time to act.

I had a fantastic experience working with Matt Huppatz at Huppatz Digital. He helped us fix our AI SEO and did an outstanding job from start to finish. Matt went above and beyond to explain everything in detail and broke things down in a way that made it easy for me to understand, even without a technical background. He was friendly, approachable, and consistently available whenever I had a question or needed clarification. It’s rare to find someone so knowledgeable who also takes the time to ensure you actually understand the work being done. I really appreciated his patience, clarity, and professionalism throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Matt and Huppatz Digital to anyone looking to improve their SEO or digital presence.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Marketing in rural and agricultural markets comes with its own questions. Here are practical answers to help you understand how we work, what to expect and whether we’re the right fit for your business.

Yes. Rural Australians are online at close to metro rates, and the difference is what they use and when, not whether they are reachable. Facebook still carries real weight across older farming demographics, YouTube does the heavy lifting for anything that needs demonstrating, and search intent is often sharper because people know exactly which piece of equipment or service they are after. The mistake is assuming a metro playbook transfers across unchanged.

In layers, not broadly. We combine geographic targeting down to specific regions and postcodes, interest and behaviour signals around agriculture, machinery and rural life, and search intent for the products and problems people are already researching. For high-value equipment we will also build audiences from your existing customer and enquiry data. Programmatic advertising then extends that reach across regional media without paying for metro audiences you do not want.

It depends far more on your geography and average order value than on the size of your business. A manufacturer selling irrigation infrastructure across three states needs a different budget to a dealership serving one catchment. Because rural audiences are smaller and more specific, budgets often go further than clients expect. The waste in rural marketing almost always comes from targeting too broadly, not from spending too little.

It has to work across the whole cycle instead of chasing an immediate click. Early on that means visibility and education, so you are present when someone starts researching. Through the middle it is remarketing and content that builds confidence in your expertise. At the end it is search, so you are there at the moment of decision. Judging any single stage on last-click conversions will lead you to switch off the activity that made the sale possible.

Yes, and this is where digital beats traditional rural media outright. We run distinct campaigns by region, with different messaging for a cattle producer in western Queensland and a broadacre grower in New South Wales, and report on each separately. You are not buying one broad audience, you are buying several precise ones. Our work with Gough Plastics is a good example of that approach in practice.
