Your next customer could be searching, scrolling or making plans right now.

Hospitality decisions are often made quickly. People search for what’s nearby, check social media, compare venues, look at upcoming events and make a choice within minutes.

That means your marketing needs to show up across the moments that influence that decision.

We combine search, social, media and audience targeting to keep your venue or event visible when people are actively deciding where to eat, drink, celebrate or spend their weekend.

give people a reason to choose your venue

A great venue is more than its location, drinks list or entertainment calendar. People buy into the atmosphere, experience and feeling they expect to get when they walk through the door.

Your marketing needs to communicate that experience before they arrive.

We use strong creative, audience-led campaigns and consistent digital visibility to build familiarity, create demand and keep your venue front of mind – whether you’re promoting a Friday night, launching a festival or building an audience that returns week after week.

BAR AND FESTIVAL MARKETING EXPERTS

HOSPITALITY MOVES FAST

Demand changes by day, season, event calendar, weather, audience and location. A campaign that works for an established pub won’t necessarily work for a nightclub, live music venue or multi-day festival.

Effective hospitality marketing means understanding those differences – and knowing when to build long-term demand, when to capture immediate intent and when to push hard around a specific event or trading period.

HOSPITALITY & EVENTS VETERANS

We’ve worked across venues, live events, festivals and hospitality businesses, giving us a practical understanding of the pressures, timelines and customer behaviour that shape the industry.

Audience-Led Campaigns

Hospitality is rarely about reaching everyone. We use geographic, demographic, behavioural and interest-based targeting to reach the people most likely to visit, book or buy.

KPI FOCUS

We focus on the outcomes that matter – bookings, ticket sales, foot traffic, customer acquisition and repeat visitation – and continually look for ways to make your marketing spend work harder.

Matt is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to digital marketing. The websites he builds are superb and don't need 50 revisions to get them up and running like other web builders. Matt and his team really are the best.

I had a fantastic experience working with Matt Huppatz at Huppatz Digital. He helped us fix our AI SEO and did an outstanding job from start to finish. Matt went above and beyond to explain everything in detail and broke things down in a way that made it easy for me to understand, even without a technical background. He was friendly, approachable, and consistently available whenever I had a question or needed clarification. It’s rare to find someone so knowledgeable who also takes the time to ensure you actually understand the work being done. I really appreciated his patience, clarity, and professionalism throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Matt and Huppatz Digital to anyone looking to improve their SEO or digital presence.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hospitality marketing comes with its own challenges, from filling quieter periods to driving more bookings and repeat visits. Here are practical answers about how we work and what you can expect from us.

There is no single number, and anyone who gives you one before looking at your trading has guessed. It depends on your volume, how competitive your area is, and whether you are holding a regular crowd or launching something new. The more useful question is how the budget splits. Most venues need always-on visibility so they are found week to week, plus campaign bursts behind events, launches and peak trading periods.

Start earlier than feels necessary, and expect sales to arrive in a curve rather than a straight line. Most events see an early burst when the lineup is announced, a long flat middle that makes everyone nervous, then the bulk of sales in the final fortnight. Budget for all three phases, because pulling spend during the flat middle is what kills the final surge. We have written up how that curve behaves in our guide to how to promote an event.

Local search moves faster than most industries, because you are competing with a handful of nearby venues rather than the whole country. Expect movement on suburb-level and “near me” searches within a few months, and longer for broader terms like city-wide “best bar” queries. Your Google Business Profile, on-page content and review volume do most of the early lifting. Search engine optimisation compounds, so the gap between starting and not starting widens over time.

Almost always. Organic reach on Facebook and Instagram now puts your posts in front of a small fraction of your own followers, and those followers are mostly people who already know you exist. Paid reaches the people nearby who do not, and lets you target by location, interest and what someone is planning to do this weekend. The following is a genuine asset. It just is not a distribution channel any more.

Ticketed events and table bookings are straightforward, and we track those end to end. Walk-in trade needs proxies: Google Business Profile actions such as direction requests and calls, booking platform data, redemption of offer codes, and campaign periods matched against POS revenue. It is not perfect attribution and we will not pretend otherwise, but it is enough to tell what is working. Related reading: why great restaurants are becoming invisible online.
