Case Study: Dittmann Bullpit PBR

WHAT THEY NEEDED

Dittmann Bullpit was expanding its PBR event into a new format, adding camping and live music alongside the bull riding. The site sits a decent drive from the nearest population centres, so the audience had to be pulled in rather than walk up. They needed the new format to sell, and we were brought in late with a short runway to do it.

What We Delivered

We ran paid social and paid digital hard from a standing start, with no time to build awareness gradually.

Audiences were split by drive time rather than treated as one regional market, so the message changed depending on how far someone had to come – a night out for the closest, a weekend away for everyone else.

Camping and live music were sold as part of the reason to travel, not as extras bolted onto the bull riding.

The Results

The expanded format sold on a fraction of the usual lead time. Ticket holders came from well beyond the local area, with 60% travelling an hour or more to get there – the clearest sign the drive-market targeting did its job. The campaign returned a ROAS of 34.
